Andatech Pty Ltd (ACN 602 437 196) (Andatech or we/us/our) is committed to creating safer workplaces, roads and communities by designing, manufacturing, selling and servicing alcohol and drug testing equipment, and air purification systems including related parts, components and services. This policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we collect, hold, use, disclose and otherwise manage your Personal Information. 

We have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The APPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information.

By using our website, products, applications and services, or otherwise providing us with your information, you consent to us collecting, holding, using and disclosing your personal information as described in the Privacy Act (Personal Information) in accordance with this privacy policy.  

What Personal Information do we collect? 

We may collect Personal Information, and non-personal information. Personal Information has the meaning given in the Privacy Act and includes information that identifies or could reasonably identify an individual. We may collect Personal Information about:  

  • our customers, potential customers and their personnel;

  • other individuals in the course of acting for our customers;

  • our suppliers and their employees; and

  • our current, former or prospective employees, consultants or contractors.

We may collect Personal Information when a person: 

  • enquires about our products or services; 

  • places an order for our products or services; 

  • uses our products or services;

  • enters into a credit application or other ongoing arrangement with us for the purchase of our products or services; 

  • applies for employment or a work placement; 

  • interacts with our website or subscribes to our communications; 

  • uses devices or applications connected with our website, products or services; or 

  • otherwise engages with us in any business context. 

The Personal Information we collect may include: 

  • names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, job titles and referral details;

  • recruitment related details including employers, work history, references, and identification documents; 

  • banking or financial details; 

  • details related to legal or regulatory compliance; 

  • information about your interaction with our website and emails including IP address, browser type, access times and interactions with our platform;  

  • testimonials and feedback; and 

  • other information which assists us in conducting our business, providing and marketing our products and services and meeting our legal obligations.

  • fulfil legal, regulatory, or professional obligations;

Connected Devices, Apps and Platforms 

Some Andatech products and applications (including breathalysers, monitoring devices, and connected platforms) may collect data such as test results, timestamps, usage logs, device identifiers, GPS locations, and other diagnostic information. This data may be processed through our cloud infrastructure or trusted third-party systems (such as CRM, analytics or AWS) to support calibration, compliance and performance.

Sensitive Information 

Sensitive Information is defined in the Privacy Act to include information or opinion about such things as an individual’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, members of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information. Andatech only collects sensitive information where:

  • you have given your consent to the collection of the information; and

  • the information is reasonably necessary for one or more of our functions or activities; or

  • it is required or authorised by law; or 

  • the Privacy Act otherwise permits the collection of that information.


Some of our products, such as our alcohol breath testers, by their very nature, may involve the collection of sensitive health information. We may collect this sensitive information directly from you, or through your employer or another organisation that is using these products.  

Our Website

Our website uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart including when you have abandoned your cart. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via email and/or SMS.

Andatech may use information relating to your visit to our website, or information you provide to us, for market research purposes in order to continually improve the products and services that Andatech delivers to you. 

Our website uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third party websites (including Google) to previous visitors of our site. This could be in the form of an advertisement on the Google search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to this website. Any data collected by us will be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

You can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Preferences page, and if you want to, you can opt out of interest-based advertising entirely by cookie settings or permanently using a browser plugin.

Our websites or applications may include links to third-party websites. These are provided for convenience only. Andatech is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such websites and encourages users to review their privacy policies.

Third Parties 

We will generally collect your Personal Information only from you. However, in some circumstances we may be provided with information by your employer (for example, where your employer is our customer using our products and services) or third parties. In such cases your Personal Information will be managed in accordance with this privacy policy. 

Disclosure of Personal Information 

Your Personal Information may be disclosed for the purpose(s) for which it was collected (as set out in this privacy policy): 

  • to third parties where you consent to use or disclosure;

  • where required or authorised by law;

  • to trusted third parties who assist us in providing our products and services such as:

    • cloud hosting, CRM and IT service providers such as AWS or Google; 

    • analytics, logistics and training partners; 

    • calibration and compliance service partners; and

    • payment gateways and financial service providers.

Your Personal Information will not be shared or sold to any third parties for the means of external marketing without your consent. 

Security of Personal Information 

Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Our personnel and contractors are required to respect the confidentiality of Personal Information and the privacy of individuals. 

We may hold your Personal Information in either hard copy or electronic form, or both. We may store your Personal Information in practice management systems that utilise cloud-hosting services. We utilise strict and up to date security protocols and systems in order to protect you and ourselves from external information breaches, including physical security measures, and restricted access to electronic records. 

Subject to all applicable laws and our professional obligations, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was obtained. In accordance with our legal obligations, our general practice is to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information after 5 years, unless we are required by law to destroy your Personal Information sooner or to retain your Personal Information for a longer period.

Overseas Disclosure 

We do not generally disclose your Personal Information to overseas recipients. However, from time to time we may disclose Personal Information to: 

  • other companies or individuals who assist us in providing our products or services or who perform functions on our behalf (such as third party service providers); 

  • regulatory authorities; 

  • anyone else to whom you authorise us to disclose it; and 

  • anyone else where we are required or authorised by law to do so. 

Our third party cloud hosting services may process Personal Information outside Australia. If data is processed outside Australia, we take reasonable precautions to ensure that the data is securely stored and protected.

You have a right to access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access your Personal Information, please contact us in writing.  In order to protect your Personal Information, we will require identification from you before releasing the requested information.

We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your Personal Information is accurate, complete and up to date. If you find that the information we have is not up to date or is inaccurate, please advise us as soon as practicable so we can update our records and ensure we can continue to provide quality services to you.

If you receive promotional or marketing emails from us and prefer not to, you can unsubscribe at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our emails.
 You will still receive essential service-related or transactional communications such as order confirmations, product updates, safety notices, and information required to support your products or services.

SMS, Push Notifications, and Phone Calls

If you receive SMS messages, push notifications, or phone calls from us that you no longer wish to receive, you may opt out by following the instructions provided in the message or by contacting us directly using the details in the “Privacy Policy Complaints and Enquiries” section below.
