The “P1” code on your Leone Pro indicates that the unit has entered its automatic defrost mode.
This is a normal operating function of a compressor dehumidifier.
During operation, the evaporator coil can become very cold and frost may form on the coil, particularly under cooler ambient conditions. When this occurs, the unit automatically activates its defrost cycle to remove the frost and maintain normal operation.
The Leone Pro is designed to operate within an ambient room temperature range of 5°C to 35°C.
Even when the room temperature is above 18°C, the unit may still enter automatic defrost depending on the ambient conditions, humidity level, airflow, and temperature of the evaporator coil.
If P1 appears, we recommend allowing the unit to complete its automatic defrost cycle. Once the defrost cycle is complete, the unit should automatically resume normal dehumidification.
